1. HALAL CERTIFICATES ARE BID’AH – a new & reproachable innovation – Worse than sins!


(1) Halal certificate is nothing, but an imitation of Kosher certificate
(2) In Islam there is no priesthood or religious institution to “officially” authorise the doctrine
(3) There is no mandate in the Qur’an for issuing Halal certificates, for exports, or any other purpose and issuing Halal certificates was never included in the Ahkam Sultaniyyah.
(4) No Government is obliged to issue or condone the issue of Halal Certificates… and any Government that has legitimated Halal Certificates, has no Islamic political authority at all.

2. IMPOSING HALAL CERTIFICATES ON PEOPLE IS ZULM (injustice),

especially in case of being accompanied with demanding money for issuing it and preventing free trade between people by banning them from being able to declare their own things as Halal.
(1) Every Muslim can sell his own properties without need of getting permission from any person or organisation as far as it is lawful. So preventing such sales or imposing permission is a Zulm, injustice.
(2) As for the slaughtered meat, only its slaughterer is qualified to say whether it is properly slaughtered or not, none else, on the condition that he has the knowledge of Islamic rules of slaughter.
(3) Unless one is with the slaughterer, observing how to slaughter throughout the whole process in all the cases, his certificate can not accepted as the Islamic lawful testimony. As the late Shaikh Ibn Uthaimin said.
(4) It is impossible to certify that meat is Halal, because the conditions of the Halal of the meat are innumerable, not limited to the way of slaughter but how to get the animal, how to get the money by which he bought the animal, whether the slaughter is a true Muslim and so on. There are too many variables. The only thing we can do is to judge it as Haram in case of finding the violation of any of them. As the late Shaikh Ibn Uthaimin said.
(5) Fact: an owner of Muslim restaurant imported chicken marked Halal of Sadia & made Gyoza (Chinese dumplings) intending to sell them with her own made Halal mark; but she was stopped & told that she was not authorised to stamp a Halal mark on her own Gyoza. Instead she should buy a Halal certificate by the authorised institution. This case clearly shows how Halal certificates are a violation of Islamic freedom of trade, thus Zulm.

3. HALAL AUTHORITIES HAVE SEIZED POWER THAT BELONGS TO ALLAH ALONE WHICH IS SHIRK (polytheism)


No one or no institution can authorise things as Halal officially to impose their judgement upon Muslims. These self-appointed ‘Halal Authorities’ are telling people what is halal and thereby violating the people’s right before Allah to decide for themselves – so these Halal Heads are usurping the prerogative of Allah, the Sole Legislator which is Shirk (polytheism)
Halal is what Allah makes it Halal in Qur`an, i.e., it is the prerogative of Allah to decide what is Halal.

Allah only names some general categories as Halal and trusts people to decide by themselves whether individual concrete things which they deal with are Halal or not. Thus declaring Halal on the individual things of the people, not general categories, is not only the violation on the right of the people but also the usurpation of the prerogative of Allah, the Sole Legislator, i.e., Shirk (polytheism).
(1) No one or no institution can authorise things as Halal officially to impose their judgement upon Muslims. Neither should any anti-Islamic organisation be trusted to issue Halal certificates.
(2) To entrust the state or its subdivision to decide Halal and Haram and impose its decision officially is nothing but idolatry. Only natural person can submit to Allah according to Shari‘ah and decide for themselves what is halal or haram.
(3) Shari‘ah prescribes the rules which is related only to the men of authority, Uliy Al-Amr, Ahkam Sultaniyyah, as collective responsibility, Fardh Kifayah, as it prescribes rules for ordinary men as individual responsibility, Fardh ‘Ain. We can entrust only Ahkam Sultaniyyah to the rulers to carry out them for us with supervising them in their exclusions, but the rest of the Shari‘ah is what we must undertake by ourselves.
(4) Issuing Halal certification is not under the category of Ahkam Sultaniyyah which is a job of the Uliy Al-Amr as the establishing Islamic Bank is not under the category of Ahkam Sultaniyyah which is a job of the Uliy Al-Amr. Concerning the slaughtered meet, the Prophetic Sunnah clarifies that we should not inspect how it was gained, so we had better to follow the Prophetic Sunnah. As the late Shaikh Uthaimin said.

NOT ONE SINGLE VERSE OR HADITH CALLS TO INVOKING ANY BEING EXCEPT ALLAH

CONCLUSION – What should devout Muslims do?

1. Muslims should struggle to prevent the Bid‘ah, Zulm and Shirk of Halal Certificate.
2. Mosques should provide the Muslims with the true knowledge of Halal and Haram of the food with difference of opinion of the reliable scholars, which includes rules concerning the food which was brought by unknown way.
3. All those who are provided with such knowledge are qualified to judge what they slaughter by themselves as properly slaughtered and allowed to eat for themselves and as well as for others and say that he slaughtered properly. But whether it is Halal or not can not be judged because other elements such as lawfulness of the gain of the animal and the money besides slaughter are also to be taken into consideration for Halal judgment.
4. As for the food, we had better not to inspect at all with trusting Muslim society by following the Prophetic Sunnah, in Islamic standpoint of view.
5. If the certificate is issued, it should show only the ingredients without using term Halal as any other certificates issued for commercial, sanitary and medical purpose.
6. If the certificate is to be issued in Islamic point of view, it should be a Haram certificate, on the condition that the criteria of Haram should be mentioned in detail enumerating all the opinions of Islamic law schools as well as it should be clearly mentioned that it is not official, not binding on any Muslim .

There is still no agreed ‘authentic’ halal standard globally – There are many Islamic sects and there is no agreement between them all about what the halal standard should be!
So it is not surprising that out of 57 OIC member countries, less than five have Halal Certification Authorities according to the IHI!

‘Boycott Halal in Australia’ is certainly getting some publicity

Even a cursory glance at the ‘Boycott Halal in Australia‘ Facebook site along with a random reading of major newspapers across Australia indicate that this popular movement has gained some traction in recent months.

In essence, this Halal issue centres on paying a fee to have on your product a clear logo or words to the effect that this item has been given the all-go for Muslims to purchase it and eat it. But it doesn’t start and end there, even the transport that brings that product to the market place is required to have Halal certification.

If such a trucking company refuses to ‘cough up’ the money to get Halal certification, then any product with Halal certification is not permitted to be transported by that company.
The chain of Halal certification has a very long arm.

‘Boycott Halal in Australia’ identifies a number of concerns relating to Australian commercial enterprisers signing up Halal certification.

Is it a restriction on fair trade to those who chose not to pay-up to get Halal certification? Does this pose an economic burden upon those those that do not pay-up? Two good questions.

This leads directly to the nature of Halal certification. This is not a Government requirement. This is, for want of a word, a private commercial enterprise and a very handsome money making exercise. According to the reports on the Facebook page (above), some companies are forking out $29,000 a month.

Medium sized abattoirs charged $27,000 a month – that works out to $324,000 per annum – not bad for a scamming rort eh!

Another example: A meat processing company said it paid more that $2.4 million for halal certification.

Another issue is that this whole Halal certification scenario is of great concern to many non-Muslims. Australia has just over 2% of its entire population Muslim. The rest of us are being force-fed product with Halal certification whether we like it or not. Moreover this kind of Halal certification is only quite new, a few years. What has changed?

As a result, this Halal certification ‘business enterprise’ has expanded exponentially, with a hanging out of a shingle (as it were) as Halal certifiers with no Government control of the process. The Facebook site illustrates this – with example after example.

I have had to minimise this image so much to get it on the page that you won’t be able to see the signs.. there are so many – too many Self-appointed halal authorities!

Furthermore, the Facebook page gives examples where food preparation inspections are not even part of these cowboy Halal certification business groups.
A phone call, pay up, Halal certificate issued.

The money

There are numerous questions associated as to where the money ends up. The Facebook site gives chapter and verse from those involved in the Halal certification. One question relates to ISIS as according to the Facebook page, is somewhere in the mix.

But it is more than this. It is an inexpensive way to fund the various aspects of Islam in Australia and across the globe. The money involved is considerable. Some have referred to it as ‘GST across the world’ and this Halal certification focuses on rich western nations.

In effect, Australians are paying up. The question posed by the Facebook page is that these people have a freedom to get monies without the sorts of Government restrictions that are seemingly placed upon every other enterprise. Even Charities in Australia have to conform and meet a host of regularity requirements.

The Facebook page says many of Australia’s companies are complicit and they are paying this Halal certification without so much as a whimper, until now. Hence the ‘Boycott Halal in Australia’ movement which has gained such publicity that some companies have now dropped their Halal certification.

Why isn’t it reversed?

If it is so important why isn’t it reversed, and the Muslim community itself pays the Government to have their Halal certification placed on specific approved food products.
That makes a great deal of common sense to me.

Certainly Dick Smith products belong to a growing number of enterprisers who refuse to have Halal certification. They are being praised across the nation.

The Facebook page identify both groups – those that have chosen to ignore the Halal certification and those that have it. South Coast Dairies are not Halal certified and have no intention of doing so.

Again from the Facebook site – the Subway Vege Pattie is Halal certified and there is a call to boycott it. Chobani Yogurt likewise. Cadbury chocolate also (there has been a cry recently that Cadbury reduced their chocolate bar size – I wonder whether it’s to pay for their Halal certification?). Kellogg’s breakfast cereals have Halal certification. Even ingredients are checked and therefore require Halal certificate.

Words given to explain all this: insidious, alarming …. The Facebook page says even Sanitarium is Halal certified (associated with the Seventh Day Adventists). Good grief that’s Weet-bix! Halal certifiers have their fingers on this too.

We have several examples of SANITARIUM’S Halal Certificates covering every product they sell.

Maleny Dairies have stated that Halal Certification is not part of their business model. They will not be spending money on such an item and the positive responses have been phenomenal.

The Facebook site ‘Boycott Halal in Australia’ is quite an eye-opener. Take a read but sit down first ….

The call is to change your shopping habits.

You just might find that your shopping budget is a lot better off. Certainly, you won’t be paying what the Facebook page refers to as this (in effect) additional GST.

Brazil meat-packing giants ‘exported rotten beef’

HARAM MEAT has been dedicated to Allah and ritually slaughtered – but REJECTED by the Muslim Inspector as being “Unfit For Muslim Consumption” at the Post Slaughter Inspection.

Operation Weak Flesh was launched in the early hours of Friday in six Brazilian states after a two-year investigation. Federal police carried out raids in 194 locations, deploying more than 1,000 officers.
The authorities in Brazil suspended 33 government officials amid allegations that some of the country’s biggest meat processors have been selling rotten beef and poultry for years.
Three meat processing plants have also been closed and another 21 are under scrutiny.

Much of the meat produced by the companies accused is exported to Europe and other parts of the world.
Brazil is the world’s largest red meat exporter.
China and Hong Kong, which together are the biggest export market for Brazilian meat, were the destination for about a third of the $5.5 billion of beef shipped from Latin America’s largest economy last year, according to the meat exporters group Abiec.
The European Union is the second-largest market, with 13 percent of the exports.
China and Hong Kong are also the biggest Brazilian market for chicken, while the European Union ranks third, according to the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein Abpa
Police allege three BRF cargoes tainted with salmonella are still en route to Europe.
The U.S. bought $297.8 million of red meat from Brazil in 2016, according to government data.

Much of the meat produced by the companies accused is exported to Europe and other parts of the world.
Police investigators accuse more than 30 companies of a number of unhygienic practices.
Among them are JBS, the world’s largest beef exporter, and BRF, the world’s top poultry producer.

Investigations over the past two years, are still ongoing

The investigators allege that some managers bribed health inspectors and politicians to get government certificates for their products. They accuse more than 30 companies of a number of unhygienic practices. Among them are JBS, the world’s largest beef exporter, and BRF, the world’s top poultry producer.
Brazilian federal police said they have evidence of at least 40 incidents.

Explanations Sought

The European Committee for Health and Food Safety is aware of the investigation and is seeking additional information, according to an emailed statement Sunday. China and the U.S. have also requested explanations, O Estado de S. Paulo newspaper reported, without saying how it obtained the information.
Clearly the Brazilian government must be worried that the US, China and the EU may ban meat imports from Brazil, worth $12bn (£9.7bn) a year.

This Brazilian investigation into the Rotten Meat – the Substandard meat – the Halal Rejects – should be happening worldwide – in every single country that is producing halal meat.

The Name of this Rotten Meat is THE HARAM… but they cannot use that word or no one would buy it – so it is sold off cheap as Non-Halal!

We know from one of our Members who took these photographs, that this meat was from a Halal Slaughterhouse… from the Haram Warehouse.

How the Halal becomes Haram


According to Sharia Law this meat, from the halal slaughterhouse, cannot be called Halal, despite the fact that the animal it’s from would have been prayed over, turned to face Mecca and Ritually Slaughtered – with a Reversible Stun Or No Stun at all.
The difference is, that the Muslim Inspector REJECTS this meat, often at the Post-Slaughter Inspection and pronounces it HARAM or “Unfit For Muslim Consumption” and the carcass is immediately Separated and put in the Haram warehouse.
Just to clarify again what happens… at every Halal Slaughterhouse there are TWO warehouses where meat is stored – One for the Halal & One for the Haram – the Haram is the Rejected Downgraded meat. This meat is sold off cheap to the Big Buyers who sell it off UNLABELLED to us – and we unwittingly buy it thinking it is conventional meat – WHICH IT IS NOT – It is the Ritually Slaughtered Haram!.

No note is made of WHY the halal meat is rejected at halal slaughterhouses – so it could be anything from some innocuous ‘blemish’ that is only seen after the carcass is cut open, or maybe there was an accidental spillage of stomach contents (which is NOT allowed to be washed off) OR even worse on cutting open the animal, it may have dodgy lungs or thought to be diseased!

The Rejected Halal meat will never be sold as Haram – or no one would buy it!
This Outrageous sale of the discarded meat from the halal industry slaughterhouses needs Full Investigation and Must be stopped.
That is aside from the investigations needed concerning the HUGE Money Making Racket called Halal Certification…
AND aside from the Shocking Halal Torture Slaughter that is happening in all Halal Slaughterhouses – whether after the Cruel Reversible Stun outrage, or when animals are slaughtered and left to bleed out for minutes after No Stun at all – all in the Name of an outdated 7th Century Religion.

Many Good people fought against animal cruelty in slaughterhouses for years…and they won the battle…. but now we are seeing a rise of a much worse slaughtering method than we ever had.
Why are we tolerating 7th Century cruel conscious ritual slaughter methods when 21st Century humane methods are available?

ALWAYS CHECK THE SOURCE OF WHAT MEAT YOU BUY
Ensure you KNOW how the animal has been slaughtered and where… because a butcher can truthfully say that Haram discarded meat is NOT halal…. and they will! Some have even rubbed a pork chop over the meat and said… “There, it cannot be halal now!” with a smile… but this is no laughing matter.
Absolutely disgusting practices are now going on that would never have been tolerated in the past, but a blind eye is turned, because we are dealing with the Halal Industry.
This outrage of foisting the downgraded Haram Meat mainstream and towards exports is happening worldwide… to save waste and to keep down costs.
Brazilian ‘Rotten Meat’ was not only exported – it was sold mainstream in Brazil to schools, Wal-Mart and to unsuspecting shoppers and consumers.

Clearly this Torture Slaughter halal meat is often tough as old boots and inedible and those facts are covered up when it is boiled for hours to make a curry… but we in the West like to eat rare steaks and roasted joints of meat… so this sub-standard meat has to have added tenderisers to make it edible… but even worse has been revealed by the Brazilian Investigations…

Don’t just ask “Is this meat halal?” or “Is this Non-halal Meat?”
ALWAYS ASK DEEPER SPECIFIC QUESTIONS…
1. Do you ever source your meat or poultry from suppliers that may allow prayers to be said over the livestock?
2. Do you ever source meat or poultry from suppliers that may employ halal slaughtering techniques?
3. Do you ever source your meat or poultry from suppliers that may use the ‘recoverable stun’ method of slaughter?
4. Will you divulge the name & details of any companies that you source your meat from please?

AND if you are in the EU…
ASK: Will you divulge the EU Meat Codes of your suppliers? – this will be written on the carcass & delivery notes/invoices.
In UK – Put those Meat Codes that are written on meat carcasses & on all packaged meat into the ‘Where’s This From?’ App to find out the Name of the Slaughterhouse &/or Cutting Plant…
then further research will be needed by doing a Google search &/or contacting the company, to find out if they use halal techniques using the sort of questions listed above.

Please don’t just ignore this issue – Contact your politicians and those in positions of power.

Noticeably there has been No mention at all that this Rotten Meat is the Haram, but as all the Brazilian companies involved are suppliers of Halal Ritually Slaughtered Meat – it must be!

We see the same cover up as there always is when the Halal Industry is involved… much the same as the cover-up of Muslim Grooming & Rape Gangs which went on for 10 years in UK and it continued until over 1400 underage girls had been violated in just one British town… Once the scandal was exposed, it was revealed that the Grooming Rape Gangs had been active all over Britain in every town. The right to know what you are buying is basic. Triply so with food.
Ask where you shop where the meat was sourced, and refuse it if it from a halal slaughterhouse.
We cannot allow this shyster like Pascal’s wager to be played on us, where producers figure that if all meat is Halal then they do not lose any of their market share.
They have to know that the cost of Islamification of the west, as well as abandoning all civilised rules for agriculture and animal husbandry, is the loss of the business of we poor kuffar.

There is a VAST Over-production of Halal Meat in UK, which needs to be curbed through legal enforcement by the Government.
Since 2012 at least 20% of Halal Meat & Poultry in UK is No-Stun Halal Ritually Slaughtered Meat that has been dedicated to Allah…and this meat is being sold in Supermarkets on the Halal Counters, mainly to Non-muslim customers – which is ILLEGAL. The majority of Muslims will only buy No-Stun halal meat from Halal Butchers Shops – they will not buy from supermarket Halal Counters, because they cannot be sure that the supermarket meat is authentic halal.

Concerns are that the halal meat has been contaminated at some stage – transportation without further halal certification at other logistics levels can be an issue and even handling by a Non-muslim can be considered to cause contamination issues; furthermore the fact that halal meat is being sold in a shop that also sells pork, can also put off muslim shoppers.
No-Stun Halal Meat is also being given to School pupils.
There are an increasing number of Schools serving HMC Halal Meat – this No-Stun Halal Meat & Poultry is given to ALL pupils, including Non-muslim pupils, often without their parent’s knowledge or consent. In far too many Primary Schools, the Nick Clegg policy of Free School Dinners for ALL ends up imposing Halal meat & poultry on All children, whether they are Muslims or not.
This is Illegal according to the Original Licence of Exemption (see image below) which clearly states that Halal Meat that is processed without any stun at all should be for Muslim consumption ONLY – NOT for everyone.

Questions need to be asked, such as WHY is the FSA (Food Standards Agency) turning a blind eye to the License of Exemption Rule?
Halal should just be a niche market in UK, like kosher has always been.

The Scottish Government have admitted that the placing of non-stunned meat slaughtered in the UK into the general food chain has been illegal since 1995.

The Welfare of Animals (Slaughter or Killing) Regulations (WASK) 1995 state that all animals slaughtered in the UK should be fully stunned to the point of insensibility before slaughter and until death. A dispensation exists in WASK for animals slaughtered for Halal and Kosher meat which states that these animals are not required to be stunned. Section 12.2 of the legislation states that meat from animals not stunned must ONLY be sold/ provided to Muslims & Jews.

The Original Licence of Exemption – which is definitely still valid – clearly states that No-Stun Halal & Kosher Meat should be for Jews & Muslims ONLY – NOT for Everyone.

In 2012, around 20% of Halal meat produced in the UK was from animals slaughtered with no form of stunning. (Food Standards Agency. June 2012).

SECONDLY – REVERSIBLE STUNNING IS CRUEL

Animals are NOT being Stunned properly – so they become conscious again within seconds
Also of grave concern is the remainder of Halal meat – the 80% – which is sourced from animals that are subjected to a stun method called “Stun-to-stun”. This stunning method uses an amperage far below that recommended in guidelines for an effective stun. In fact Prof.Temple Grandin has said that the Livestock begin to recover within 15 seconds of the Reversible Stun being administered.
NOTE that Muslims say clearly that a Proper Stun could result in the death of the animal, so it cannot be used, because the Meat cannot be Halal.
Just to be clear on this – a Proper Stun will put the animal or poultry into an IRREVERSIBLE state of unconsciousness and into a PERMANENT state of being insensible to pain. That is the reason the traditional stun cannot be used for halal meat which can only be obtained from animals & poultry that are ALIVE at the point of slaughter.

Our traditional slaughter methods have been changed…
For example, sheep used to be stunned to the Head AND the Body – now they are given a Low stun to the Head ONLY – surely this is ILLEGAL too!

Many devout Muslims speak out against the Reversible Stun that is being used in so many Slaughterhouses, saying it is more cruel than No Stun at all.
That is because the animals are becoming conscious after the throat cut, thrashing out and bellowing loudly on the slaughter line – until “Allah knows best”.
Reversible Stunning leads to completely unnecessary suffering in 21st Century Britain – it is very cruel.
It takes at least 6 minutes for cattle to die after the throat cut… at least 4 minutes for sheep & goats to die and at least 2 minutes for poultry & ducks.
AND many muslims completely reject Halal Meat that has been subjected to any form of stunning anyway!

After a public consultation in 2013, new stricter rules were passed for EU countries, which clearly stated the minimum stun that animals and poultry should be given, but here in Britain those rules were completely ignored and the old 1995 WASK Rules remain still to this day – PROOF HERE…

Why have we tolerated this in 21st Century Britain?

We must BOYCOTT HALAL Meat – Leave it on the Supermarket shelves to rot & complain!
– Insist on conventional meat from your Butcher or buy direct from Farmers you know.
This will be difficult to avoid halal meat & poultry, because most, if not all meat going through Smithfield Meat Market is now halal ritually slaughtered! Note that Smithfield Market or, to give it its official name, London Central Markets, is the largest wholesale meat market in the UK and one of the largest of its kind in Europe.

NOTE that it is mandatory for ALL EC Meat to bear the Licence Number of the Abattoir where it was sourced!
Most Meat in UK will have an EC Meat Code number like this… it must be stamped on ALL Meat Carcasses AND it must appear on ALL packaged Meat.

In fact our butchers will say with a grin… “This meat is NOT halal” and offer us the sub-standard haram meat (usually at a cheaper price). We are not told that this meat has been Rejected at the Post Slaughter inspection at a halal slaughterhouse! Obviously no one would buy it if they knew the truth! Some butchers will know it is not actually meat that has been killed in a conventional way, but many of our butchers are also hoodwinked into buying this Haram Meat – often at a cheaper prices – and some have no knowledge of where it has come from.
Surely this practice is ILLEGAL too!
Muslims will say that some meat, after halal Ritual Slaughter, does not meet the grade & so it is not halal; this rejected ritually slaughtered meat is renamed ‘haram‘ and will then be discarded into the mainstream Food Chain… but for us (who are looking at this issue from a Non-muslim perspective) – this meat is still HALAL – it has been prepared in the same way that Muslim Meat should be prepared… it has been dedicated to a foreign god and slaughtered unstunned or ultra-low amperage stunned – it is certainly not Traditional Meat that was properly stunned before slaughter! See what Waitrose say on their website about this so-called ‘Non-halal’ meat – they give 3 reasons for selling it to unsuspecting shoppers!

Lastly there is so much evidence in every supermarket and many food outlets across Britain that we have checked that the Halal & the Haram Meat is being sold to us UNLABELLED as such.
We have had many Petitions & Letters to Governments over the years asking for more transparency in labelling, but the issue is either blamed on the EU, or ignored, or put off because it is uncertain what Halal Meat actually is… This uncertainty has arisen due to many arguments over the years, between different Islamic factions, who each have different standards, because the Truth of the matter is that there is NO AUTHENTIC HALAL STANDARD YET!
The fact that this meat has been involved in a ritual, dedicating it to a foreign god – Allah, is surely enough to warrant the labelling of this meat, as ‘Ritually Slaughtered’ – let’s call it ‘RS’ Meat.
Surely it is ILLEGAL to sell Halal or Haram Ritually Slaughtered meat & poultry to us UNLABELLED, as if it is the Conventional Meat we are looking for?
‘RS’ also stands for ‘Religious Standard’ and can cover ALL halal certified products too – whether Food or Non-Food.
‘RS’ can be used as a sign on all halal certified services and businesses that have gone down the halal compliance route to fulfil a ‘Religious Standard’.
We should not be relying on less than 5% Muslim minority for mainstream Consumer Information – that is the job of our elected Government and it is also the job of the unelected bureaucrats in Brussels, who should be writing the necessary Policy to enforce proper labelling, so that we can make a reasoned choice about what we are buying.
We have been sharing a clear labelling idea since 2011 that will avoid ALL loopholes and overcome the problem of authenticity… but we are still waiting for it to be considered and implemented. See it here…

Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, is a naturally beautiful island off the Southern tip of India.
Until May 2009, when the government forces seized the last area controlled by Tamil Tiger rebels,  the people had experienced a long and bitter civil war for more than 25 years which arose out of ethnic tensions between the majority  Sinhalese and the Tamil minority in the northeast.  The violence killed more than 70,000 people, damaged the economy and harmed tourism in one of South Asia’s potentially most prosperous societies.

The Buddhist majority in the country are peace-loving and fair-minded, but it is vital not to hurt their feelings or insult other faiths.

They abhor the halal ritual slaughter which Muslims insist is necessary to produce halal meat. This outdated 7th Century Ritual Slaughter seems unnecessarily cruel to livestock in 21st Century Sri Lanka, but muslims insist that the Muslim way of slaughter is the best and they say that the animals get no feeling when the jugular vein of the neck is cut and the blood flows from the body… Muslims believe that immediately after the cut , the whole body of the animal will get numb and it will not feel any pain. Muslims are against stunning the animal, because they say that the blood will still be there and the animal will suffer.  However a  four year Dialrel Study carried  out by Veterinary Scientists from many countries of Europe found the opposite is true and they concluded that halal ritual slaughter causes unnecessary suffering.

Then on 14th February, Sri Lanka Minister of Research and Technology Patali Champika Ranawaka, requested that all halal food producers remove the halal certificate. He warned that his Party, Sinhala Buddhist Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU) would take action unless the producers of halal heed their demand.

Muslims say that from their perspective there’s nothing wrong if Christians or Buddhist will eat halal foods. It’s just a matter of choice if you like it or not;  but if you outlaw the selling of halal products, then that’s another matter. You are depriving the people of their freedom to choose.

Conversely, the halal certification process is now seen as a violation of the Rights of the Majority who want traditional foods and food services. The Sinhalese majority do not want different products in the market for different groups, because they say this will cause social segregation on religious lines.

It seems clear that halal certification isolates the Muslims followers of Islam from Sri Lankan society, creates tension and challenges the traditional Sri Lankan food culture.

Addressing the media in Colombo, UNP Western Provincial Council member Niroshan Padukka said, “As UNP, we do not agree with the concept of Halal Certificates, and support our leader Ranil Wickremesinghe’ s statement that the government should deal with the authorization of these certificates, rather than the All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama Halal Certification Authority.

They reject halal products & services and the creeping Islamification of their country eg. a Mosque has been built in Dambulla, which is considered by many to be a sacred Buddhist area. The prime minister ordered the mosque’s relocation on Sunday, following an attack on the mosque on Friday by hardline Buddhists, including monks and all this amid a rising  religious tension in the country. The Buddhist Sinhalese make up three-quarters of Sri Lanka’s 20 million population.

Muslims make up less than 10% of the population , but the majority are seeing a rise in halal certified products. This unwanted over-production of halal products & services is considered by the  majority to be threatening their culture and their valued traditions. There is a gradual increase in halal restaurants and Markets and we have even found that Muslims have started to export Halal Fish to the UK from a halal supplier called Ceylon Fisheries Limited via their fully operational processing plant at Tudella, Ja-Ela, Negombo, Sri Lanka.

The outcome was that the Government shut down the ACJU Halal Certification Authority.
Then a new Halal Authority was formed under Government control, but also with access to guidance from the Muslim Community Leaders.

Beefburgers containing horse meat could have been made from “diseased or injured animals” and be unsafe to eat, environmental health experts say.

Muslim websites are expressing fears of a HALAL Clampdown in Europe after PIG & HORSE MEAT is discovered in Beefburgers across the UK and Ireland.

The BeHalal website point out…

“As well as detecting the presence of horse and pig DNA in some burgers, it also tested 31 beef meal products such as cottage pie, beef curry pie and lasagne. Some 21 were found to have pig DNA but no traces of horse DNA were found. Traces of horse DNA were detected in batches of raw ingredients, including some from the Netherlands and Spain. Our industry sources have advised us that ABP, which owns two of the businesses named by the FSAI, Silvercrest Foods and Dalepak Hambleton and is one of the leading beef producers and exporters in Europe. And Liffey Meats Ltd who own the halal world cuisine trademark. Both companies produce halal product lines at the same sites. Often companies producing meat products also pack for other brands and however, it is not clear at this stage if halal lines are affected or how extensive this problem may be for the halal industry. This is not the first time the halal industry maybe affected and continues to face fraud… This calls for better self-regulation by halal certification organisations and importantly for them to have competent staff, effective systems and checks to protect against an industry fraught by higher levels of fraud to address this issue.”

LIFFEY halal meat is NAMED in this next article as being among the MEAT WITHDRAWN from Supermarkets across the UK!
The products were produced by three processing plants, Liffey Meats and Silvercrest Foods in Ireland and Dalepak Hambleton in the UK, and were on sale in Tesco, Dunnes Stores, Lidl, Aldi and Iceland.
In one sample from Tesco, the level of DNA indicated that horse meat accounted for approximately 29 per cent relative to the beef content!

Following the ‘shock discovery’ of horse meat in burgers, the Food Standards Agency has issued an assurance that the burgers ARE safe to eat.
How can they say that?
Considering that no-one knew that the horse meat was in the burgers, there is no way those horses’ passports can have been checked to ensure they were in fact destined for the food chain!
Horse Passports have 2 ‘declarations’ in them: one stating they are NOT intended for slaughter for human consumption, and one stating they ARE intended for slaughter for human consumption.
If the first Declaration is signed by the owner, the horse may be given any amount and types of drugs and medication prohibited for use in animals destined for the human food chain, such as certain anti-biotics, anti-histamines and steroidal drugs. Also, horses should not enter the human food chain within 28 days of being treated for internal parasites.
Without knowing the status of these horses’ passports, I just don’t see how anyone can issue any assurances that that horse meat is indeed safe to eat…

Head teachers are deciding for “cultural” & “religious” reasons to drop traditional sausages and ham from children’s lunches.  In some instances Traditional Ham has been replaced by ‘Halal Turkey’ham’ and Traditional Pork or Beef Sausages are replaced with ‘halal chicken sausages with halal ‘ham’ flavouring’ or with ‘halal beef sausages’.

Dairy Products & Confectionery may contain halal bi-products, such as rennet; frozen food or fresh produce can be halal… Yes, even vegetables may be packaged and halal certified or may be in tins and halal certified. So many products have had their recipes changed to make them halal… they may include halal food additives or halal vitamins.

Do we think that Hindus should have religious rights? If your answer is yes then we should be against Halal being sold to all non-muslims, because Hindu’s do not wish to eat Halal, as it is against their own religious beliefs.  Where are their Religious Rights?  When are we going to see a STOP on the Halal Industry taking away our Freedom of Choice in Britain?  Or will this carry on until Traditional British Food becomes a niche market in our country that has a 95%+ Non-Muslim Population???  Halal food is spreading throughout Britain. A London Daily Mail investigation found that Britain’s major supermarket chains, fast-food restaurants, even some hospitals and schools were serving halal food without telling those who were eating it.

This Act should give us the right to religious and secular freedom, i.e. to not be forced to participate in religious rites.

Dedicating this meat to a god violates this right: hence there is forced participation in another’s religion without consent.

Also Jews, Sikhs & Christians are specifically instructed not to eat this meat, so where is their religious freedom?

Philip Davies, the Conservative MP for Shipley, West Yorkshire, who has campaigned for clear labelling of halal and kosher meat in shops and restaurants, described the pork bans as “misguided political correctness”.

“Whilst I very much agree that pupils should be able to choose not to have pork, I believe it is totally wrong for schools to in effect force all pupils to abide by the religious beliefs of some by denying them the opportunity to choose to have pork,” he said.

“This is the type of misguided political correctness which builds up resentments which otherwise would not exist, and I very much hope these schools will change their stance and allow pupils a much more free choice.”

In the HALAL ONLY SCHOOLS – Bakery, Dairy & Confectionery products are affected too, as they must contain halal bi-products & halal additives and halal food colourings. Even vegetables are grown in halal bone-meal & halal compost under the strictest halal monitoring!
Ham & Pineapple Pizza is made with ‘Turkey Ham’ or ‘Chicken Ham’ which has a halal ‘ham’ flavour.
In addition to the compulsory use of halal certified products (to ensure no cross contamination), there is also the matter of Halal Services… Manufacturing Plants of all bread eg. Kingsmill & processed foods must be halal and monitored by Muslim Inspectors. Halal Flour, halal shortening, halal suet in pies & puddings.
Halal Ethyl Vanillin: synthetic vanilla flavoring. It is used for soft drinks, ice creams
and baked goods. Dairy Products must be from Halal Certified producers eg. Dairy Crest is HFA Certified. Many well known Brands of Dairy Products are now halal certified, but this is not shown on the carton. We look & find that many recipes of well known brands have been tampered with – Eg. ingredients like rennet have been replaced with halal rennet in yoghurts and cheeses – Plus no halal sign is clearly displayed on the product… so how will muslims know to buy it???
All this involves extra costs AND the halal certification involves an annual fee… and another fee if you want to display a logo to say your school kitchen is halal.
Plus these Halal Only School Kitchens and Food Processing Plants must also be regularly Monitored by Muslims and rules must be strictly adhered to eg.No alcohol can be used in the cleaning products…

It can even mean that my children’s School Dinners are sold in Halal Packaging? Another Contract?

Stewart Houston, the chief executive of the National Pig Association, which represents commercial producers, also criticised the bans.

My Family do not like animal cruelty, so we want to avoid anything that contains Halal Gelatine, Halal Rennet or Halal Lecithin etc., as it is unclear whether these halal additives are a product of an artificial halal process or are animal bi-products which like the halal meat all come from animals which have been barbarically slaughtered, as they have not been properly stunned unconscious prior to having their throats slit! Even the most lax halal authority the HFA (Halal Food Authority) will ensure that animals are only Stunned to Immobilise, for the benefit of the slaughterer, not to ensure good animal welfare. That is clear on their website here: Quote in their words…

PROTECT BRITISH JOBS!  It is also clear that the Halal Industry marginalises British Workers, because ONLY devout Muslims are allowed to Slaughter the meat.

Furthermore when we analyse where this tax payers money goes that is paying for these contracts… it seems clear according to the Qur’an, that as we pay for halal food we are indirectly paying zakat tax which is paid to Islamic ends by all devout Muslims.
So how does this benefit Britain in these times of austerity???

What does this mean… well it is explained in the Link and clearly the only ones benefiting are Muslims.
My biggest objection is that an eighth of this Zakat Tax is directly paid to fund Islamic Freedom Fighters!

Finally, the most obvious reason that we should uphold British traditions and Judeo-Christian values is that Muslims Do NOT Require Halal Food in Non-Muslim Countries!
IMPORTANT: If there is no halal available then a Muslim is allowed to eat non-halal food.
Islam has laws regarding which foods can and cannot be eaten and also on the proper method of slaughtering an animal for consumption, known as dhabihah.
However if there is no halal food available then a Muslim is allowed to eat non-halal food.
Surah 2:173 states: “…if there is no other choice, …there is no sin in him.”
Surah 5:5 is the abrogated text that makes this even clearer when it says QUOTE:
Surat Al-Mā’idah (The Table Spread) – سورة المائدة

‘This day [all] good foods have been made lawful, and the food of those who were given the Scripture [People of the Book – Jews & Christians] is lawful for you and your food is lawful for them.’

Answer = According to SHARIAH LAW!
Only 3-5% of British Consumers are Muslim and want to follow Sharia Law… so we have a duty to uphold British traditions and Judeo-Christian values for te 95-97% majority who do not want of need halal..
Surely we, as the payers of Council Tax in this borough, should have a say about what our children can choose to eat at school. Religious foods and Special Needs foods should be an option – not forced on every child… and these minorities have the choice of bringing a packed lunch.
